Welcome to ICTC's Online Career Fair! ICTC is committed to maintaining our support of clients in their efforts to connect with Canadian employers. We invite you to participate in ICTC's upcoming Online Career Fair on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 10AM - 1PM ET.
ICTC's Immigration Initiatives seeks to highlight the benefits that Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) have to offer in the Canadian labour market and assist employers in their recruiting efforts. Our clients’ strengths shine through the diversity in their education, training, on-the-job skills, life experience and significant work-from-home experiences - and include Software Engineers and Designers, DBAs and Network Technicians, Graphic and Web Designers, Business Analysts, and Cybersecurity specialists.

Who is ICTC?

  • Building on ICTC’s labour market intelligence and competencies, our workforce capacity building and innovation team proposes solutions to effectively help Canadians, newcomers, and Canadian companies succeed in the digital economy.

Who is eligible for the Online Career Fair?

  • Anyone who has received their letter of Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) in Canada or Canadian Citizens.
  • Pre-arrival newcomers or newcomers who arrived to Canada within the last 5 years.
  • Must have experience or education in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) field.
  • All participants must be registered to one of ICTC’s Immigration Programs.

To be eligible, participants must meet ALL criteria.

Why participate in an online career fair?

  • Job seekers can gain an advantage directly connecting with Canadian employers before arriving in Canada.
  • Through the use of virtual booths, there is the capacity for live conversations between employers and candidates.
  • Newcomers will be able to network with employers directly using private chats.

If:
1.You are looking for employment in the Canadian Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry
2. You have previous education and/or experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector of your home country
3. You have received your Confirmation of Permanent Residence from the Canadian government or you have recently landed in Canada with Permanent Resident status
If you fit these criteria, please register for ICTC's Online Career Fair!
It is important for clients to advise Employers if they are part of a PNP and equally important for an Employer to ask if the client is part of a PNP. Some restrictions may apply, so ensure you communicate what limitations may be.
Recruiters and company representatives will be live on March 13, 2024 from 10 AM ET to 1 PM ET. In order to make the most of this opportunity to speak with companies directly, you should try to log on for as much of the live event as possible. We will be opening the event the week before, in order for you to browse job postings, etc. If you are a GO Talent Client, we also encourage you to make sure your eTalent Canada profile and resume are up-to-date, as well as encourage you to complete ITP and Filtered skills verification, so that your profile looks strong to employers.

No. You do not need to download or install any software to participate. You only need to have access to the internet.
Absolutely! Always do your homework by preparing for the event. Employers will have had the opportunity to review your resume, ITP, and Filtered skills verification challenges in advance of the event. To make this easier for you, we will be opening the doors one week early, in order for you to look at the booths and job postings. Please note there will be no live representatives there until the day of the actual event, March 13, 2024. And we urge you to attend our information session for candidates about making the most out of our Online Career Fairs!
Your login details will be emailed to you after you complete the registration. You can use these details to access the online event.
A webcam is not required but it is highly encouraged for attendees to be prepared to video chat with employers if they request one.
