Information Technology Professional (ITP) designation

We validate skills, language proficiency, and international education and work experience to save you time.

Join our community to connect with internationally educated ICT professionals who are ready to help Canadian organizations fill critical technology roles and strengthen Canada’s digital economy.

Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) since 2004, ICTC’s Immigration programs support Canadian employers by helping them access skilled, internationally educated ICT talent and better understand inclusive, effective hiring practices.

Our candidates bring global experience across areas such as software development, cybersecurity, data, cloud, business analysis, technical support, and digital transformation. All have already received Permanent Residence or equivalent status and are prepared to contribute to Canadian IT teams.

As a registered employer, you gain practical recruitment support designed to reduce screening time, expand your access to qualified ICT talent, and help you build a stronger, more diverse technology workforce.

  • Reduce time-to-hire: receive dedicated support for your current and upcoming IT hiring needs, including help identifying candidates aligned with your role requirements.
  • Reach qualified ICT candidates faster: access ICTC’s Global Onboarding of Talent, an online career community where Canadian employers can meet registered ICT candidates, create an employer booth, showcase open roles, and network with other employers, regional partners, and national agencies.
  • Hire with greater confidence: connect with candidates who have the Information Technology Professional (ITP) designation, ICTC’s verification of international education, English language skills, employment history, and references.
  • Support workforce growth: strengthen your talent pipeline with internationally educated professionals who can contribute to innovation, digital transformation, and business-critical technology projects across Canada.
